Gateway Rehab Center Helps Workplaces Develop Drug Policies

For nearly 40 years, Michael H. Since 1972, Gateway Rehab has provided life-saving treatment for patients and all who are affected by addictive diseases to promote recovery from addiction to drugs and alcohol, personal growth, responsibility, and health. As a testament to its quality programs and dedication, the organization was recently selected as one of 20 Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) Centers of Excellence in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and Governor Tom Wolf announced the selection.

As an OUD Center of Excellence, Gateway Rehab will better be able to ensure that people with opioid-related substance use disorder stay in treatment to receive follow-up care and are supported within their communities. The centers coordinate care for people with Medicaid, and treatment is team-based and “whole person” focused, with the explicit goal of integrating behavioral health and primary medical care.

In doing so, Gateway's dedicated professionals at its many locations throughout the Pennsylvania and Ohio hope to improve patient outcomes and work toward sustained recovery and reduced potential for relapse.
